Get lost in a world of beautiful landscapes and relaxed flowers 🏔️🌼
Date/time: Saturday 31st May, 10am - 1pm (Landscapes), 2-5pm (Florals).
Duration: 6hrs, with 1 hour break between classes
Location: Garden Studio at Gasworks Arts Park, Albert Park, VIC
Level: Beginner, (or had a little watercolour experience but wanting to learn more)
Age: Adult
Class size: maximum of 10 participants per class
Please note, the classes require a minimum of 5 participants in order to run. If at 1 week before this isn't met, the class may be cancelled and you will receive a full refund.
What's Included: All materials required are provided for use during class! You will also receive a digital copy of my supplies guide so you can feel confident shopping for your own supplies after class.
A selection of herbal teas will also be provided to sip on during class.

In this 3 hour watercolour class, we will begin by learning the foundational skills of watercolour painting, including how to hold and use the brushes to create different lines and shapes, colour mixing and basic colour theory, and the fundamental techniques of watercolour.
The skills build upon each other, and will be used in practice exercises to finesse your brush skills and understand how the watercolour paint reacts on the paper. The practice exercises will change slightly between the classes so as to not be repetitive if you are taking both classes. Once you’re feeling confident about the techniques we will then learn how to apply these skills to create the different elements of the landscape and floral pieces, before working step by step to create final artwork for you to take home! No drawing experience is required.
Outcome:
By the end of this 6 hours of classes you will have learnt basic watercolour skills and techniques, and understand how to create compositions and layers with these techniques. You will leave the classes with your finished landscape and floral pieces, plus your pattern play pieces and any other practice pieces. You will feel confident in breaking down any landscape photo to turn into a painting, or how to go about painting more flowers, and understand how to create these compositions.
We will also discuss materials and I will provide a list of my favourite supplies at the completion of class, so you feel comfortable starting your watercolour collection!

Please note, this class requires a minimum of 5 participants in order to run. If at 1 week before this isn't met, the class may be cancelled and you will receive a full refund.
If you need to cancel your ticket, 2 weeks notice is required for a full refund. Within 2 weeks notice, may move your ticket to a different workshop date if there is availability, or you will receive a 50% refund. If 24 hours or less cancellation notice is give, you will unfortunately not receive a refund. However, you may give your ticket to a friend instead!
