Level: Beginner, (or had a little watercolour experience but wanting to learn more, or trying flowers for the first time)

Class size: maximum of 10 participants

What's Included:Â All materials required are provided for use during class! You will also receive a digital copy of my supplies guide so you can feel confident shopping for your own supplies after class.
A selection of herbal teas will also be provided to sip on during class.
What to expect:
In this 3 hour watercolour class, we will begin by learning the foundational skills of watercolour painting, including how to hold and use the brushes to create different lines and shapes, colour mixing and basic colour theory, and the fundamental techniques of watercolour.
The skills build upon each other, and will be used in practice exercises to finesse your brush skills and understand how the watercolour paint reacts on the paper. Once you’re feeling confident about the techniques we will then learn how to use basic shapes and brush movements to create flowers, leaves and other floral elements, including different types of flowers. We will then create 2 floral pieces for you to take home, in which you will also learn how to create balanced compositions.
No drawing experience is required, we will also cover how to use basic shapes to create a scene, how to layer, create depth and more.
Outcome:
By the end of this 3 hour class you will have learnt basic watercolour skills and techniques, and understand how to create flowers and their elements using your brush skills. You will feel calm and relaxed as you continue to paint flowers, and fall in love with creating these beautiful loose, blooming pieces.
We will also discuss materials and I will provide a list of my favourite supplies at the completion of class, so you feel comfortable starting your watercolour collection!

Please note, this class requires a minimum of 5 participants in order to run. If at 1 week before this isn't met, the class may be cancelled and you will receive a full refund.
If you need to cancel your ticket, 2 weeks notice is required for a full refund. Within 2 weeks notice, may move your ticket to a different workshop date if there is availability, or you will receive a 50% refund. If 24 hours or less cancellation notice is give, you will unfortunately not receive a refund. However, you may give your ticket to a friend instead!
